I thought of a clever title earlier but now I can't remember it....so....umm..."Untitled"....

So I just back from lunch (well when I started typing this I had just gotten back from lunch...it's been a few hour since then now lol...but ANYWAY)….I walked around the flea market…I didn’t but anything, I just like being there…lol…it’s not like a huge flea market or anything like Ceasar’s Creek or that other one…I can’t remember the name…it’s more of an antiquey type flea market….it’s in an old Farm n Fleet store…I don’t know why I felt the need to explain that to you…but if you are like me when I think of flea market I think of this huge place with a few good finds but mostly Bubba and Estelle roam around with their bellies showing because their shirts are too small and their little booger brats run around leaving chewing gum and half eaten hotdog buns on the floor…lol…my flea market has tons of shabby chic and antique treasures (mingled with plenty of junk too though…lol…the hunt is half the fun! Sooo many possibilities)…blah blah blah, I’m totally rambling…

So I had a good weekend…umm…Friday night I think husband I watched My Cousin Vinnie…it was on tv…that movie cracks us both up…Saturday…husband attempted to put new tires on his truck – on the rims- by himself…that didn’t go so well…lol…he was loud and not saying blessed words at the top of his lungs…thank heavens we live in the country so only the cows were truly offended…lol…and our puppies…but they love him unconditionally…and I was in the mood to clean…actually, first of all, I should grumble about getting woken up early (9 ish –hey! That’s early for me! Specially on a Saturday!) anyways…so this is me sleepin sleepin sleepin….BEEEEP….few seconds pass….BEEEEPPPP…..this continues until I’m awake and annoyed…maybe it’ll stop BEEEEPPP….grumble grumble…husband is outside and someone is paging him on his work phone….BEEEEPPP…so I get up, open and shut the phone…it stops…I get back in bed and fall back to sleep….BEEEPPPPP…BEEEEPPPPP….twenty minutes later it started again….so this time I walk outside in my jammas and bare feet and tell husband that his phone is beeping…the air is cold…I’m awake for the day…which isn’t all bad because now I have a bigger day…lol…and I was in the mood to clean…what is up with that??? (not complainging mind you but it’s very out of character for me!) Lol…so that’s what I done all day…on and off…I’d watch tv a little and then clean a little…they were having an In Living Color marathon on BET…lol…that’s so not a channel that I normally watch but I love In Living Color….::singing…you can do what you wanna do…(bass voice) in living color:: ::fly girl dance::…oops I’m being a nerd out loud again! Sorry…lol…so I cleaned and then made a yummy dinner….. ohh….that’s right…lol…husband and I didn’t watch My Cousin Vinny til sometime on Saturday because on Friday night I worked a little late and then sort of crashed when I got home….husband and I both had snacks and then I vegged and he went outside and started messing with the tires…then he came in and said he was going to take a nap around 7:15…I told him that he wasn’t allowed to take a nap then because since he goes to bed at 9:00 he probably wouldn’t get up…he took a nap and didn’t get up til the next morning…so we both went to bed without supper on Friday night…I think I had some popcorn later cuz I’m a night owl n stuff…(aren’t you glad that I told you every minute detail of my Friday and Saturday…)

Anyway, so church was sooooo wonderful on Sunday…I left really feeling like I’d been to church….ya know what I mean….Sunday school was excellent…we are having a lot of people come and just some really good discussions….then in our church service we had some special music…a gospel group called the McCubbin family (or something like that) sang…and they were just good old fashioned Godly people…it was a family and the mother and father were older people – they’d been married for 47 years and singing together for most of those years and they were just the sweetest…they kept grabbing each other’s hand and singing to each other about heaven…and it was just precious…the last song they sang was a Dottie Rambo song…”I’ve never been this homesick before”…as soon as the music started playing I just started bawling (mom and dad came to church that morning too and mom said that she started bawling too!). I just love that song and it just brought back sooo many old memories of days and people gone by….it was just so blessed…and then Preacher P got up and preached and it was beautiful…it was one of those sermons where he couldn’t contain himself and there was lots of amens and that’s rights from many people in the congregation (I think at one point there was even a round of applause)…good old fashioned preaching…he was talking about his mother and how she always had a song in her heart and she’d putter around the house singing. Then her mother died and Preacher P said his mother lost her song for a while…the house was quiet….until one day she began singing again…and at this point he sang the song she sang…I do not know the name of it but it was about how we would see our loved ones again in heaven…and it was just so touching…our prayer chorus (I’m back to toward the beginning of the service) was Leaning on the Everlasting Arms (I think)…and there was a little bit of a commotion on the front row and so Preacher P asked what was so funny….and there was this sweet teen age boy (kinda reminds me of Chad M, sister) who said they (his family) were laughing at him because he felt like that when you sing a song you should sing it like you mean it…he said have you ever seen the Mickey Mouse show…that bouncing dot that bounces to the words…he said I like to bounce to the words (of Leaning on the Everlasting Arms) and they (his family are giggling at me) so Preacher P says…let’s sing that again and I’ll bounce with you!! So we sang it again with feeling…way cool that a teenager initiated that was my thought!

This same teenager shared a story a few weeks ago during the Children’s sermon that I’ve been meaning to share…it was a way cool analogy…he said he was out fishing one day and he hadn’t had a bite all day…so he’s sitting there quietly and all of a sudden he’s sees this fox edging toward the water….so he sits really still so that he can observe what this fox is doing…he said the fox slipped into the water and swam out a little ways and all of sudden dipped deep down into the water and when he came back up…he had a huge fish in his mouth…he watched the fox swim back to shore with his huge fish and he couldn’t help to be a little bit jealous! Lol…so later he was telling his grandfather about what he saw and his grandpa said that the fox probably had fleas and so it swam out and the fleas attract the fish and then the fox was able to easily scoop up one of the many fish that came to feed on the fleas…and the boy said he thought about that and he said ya know….isn’t that fox just a lot like the Devil and some of the tricks that he uses to scoop up people….neat analogy huh…I thought so anyways…lol

So anyway….where was I…wonderful church service…good old fashioned amen-ing kinda service….wonderful napping day too…lol…

So work has been a little interesting the last couple of days…we’ve had a jury trial…it was kind of a quick trial and not too boring…I was sitting in Court a little bit ago and thinking I really like my job…it’s kind of fascinating to sit and watch court proceedings sometimes (don’t get me wrong sometimes it’s very boring too lol)…I mean to realize the complexities of our legal system and just all the procedural stuff…it’s really neat sometimes…the attorneys on this case have been interesting to watch….blah blah blah…am I boring you?

Well….I reckon I better post this…the jury should be coming out soon with the sentence for this person that they found guilty…sooo…I’ll catch you bonitas later…..

Okay, about laughed out loud about the flea market thing because that was EXACTLY what I was thinking about until you said it was a nicer one! SCARY!!!

Loved the minute by minute replay of you Friday and Saturday! LOL! You crack me up!!!!! Hubby has learned to turn the phone to silent on his days off so we can sleep late. I'm not a happy camper if I have to wake up to something besides myself! LOL!

Isn't is awesome to go to church and it touches us somehow. Not all of them do because not everything is meant for us, but our worship is ALWAYS meant for God. So it's extra special when we feel so "ahhhhh". Does that make any sense? Okay, no more rambling!

Lots of Love!
