so here's some pictures of the current project room...this is usually King and Queen's bedroom when they come visit...it will soon be our substitute (and if we like it a lot - permanent) master bedroom...we planned out the new closet tonight...we were weighing our options of where in the room to place the closet and we decided that it made most sense to actually leave it where it was but make it bigger...plus, you'll notice, we took the chimney out...so no more wasted space in the room! wahoo...so that's taken a big chunk of the weekend...we did do fun things too though...
umm Friday evening...worked on the chimney a little bit more...Saturday husband went to visit his cousins...he came home with a truck load of treasures...four new windows...a full sliding glass door...we are planning to use the new windows down stairs in some capacity...the "gathering room" (the room off the kitchen) desperately needs a larger window to let in more light...I love big windows! the kitchen could also use a bigger window...and we are hatching a hair-brained scheme to use half of the glass door as a window in the green room...that's the room that also received water damage in our recent leaking...that room already has two huge windows each the size of a door so one more would make that room a bright cheery place...
anyway...blah blah blah...we are in to working on our house can ya tell? lol...it's wonderful now...but it just seems like lately we are dreaming up schemes to make it better...and I gotta tell you...I'm really happy with the way husband is so in to working on the house right now...so I'll take it!! lol...I know tractor pulling season is just around the corner and I won't get him to come inside barely to sleep! lol so gotta take it while he's in the mood to work on his "honey-do" list! lol
ok so let's see...Saturday evening I went to the Ville to meet some ladies from work at the movies...we went to see Walk The Line...excellent movie! Jaquine Phoenix (or however you spell his name) did a fabulous job! So did Reese Witherspoon...highly recommend that movie...then I came home and watched umm...oh Cold Mountain...I had never seen that...what a sad movie...I went to bed all blubbery from crying lol...
Church was wonderful this morning...there were 16 in Sunday School! We had to put three tables together to fit everyone in! We're almost done with the Bob Russell book...I'm really getting a lot from Sunday School right now...and it's just way cool how the class keeps growing!
Worship service was great too...Preacher P's sermon was about having the sense God gave a goose! lol...husband wrote me a note (because we do that! lol) during the service telling me thank you for letting this be our home church...I'm really so happy to have him be so happy in a church...I'm happy there too...but it's cool to watch him at church...bless his baby heart...he can't sing...but when he sings those hymns at the top of his voice and the little closing benediction song...I just know that it's the prettiest sound that God has ever heard...and it's beautiful to me too! how precious!
and so today it's just been a lazy rainy Sunday...husband and I brainstormed in the project room...I may re-paint it...some of the pretty lil daisy border didn't make it...but I'm thinking that where the closet is it may be ok to not have the border there...I dunno...I need to brainstorm some more...I really like the color of yellow that it is though...but if we end up keeping that as our bedroom...I'd really like it to be Americana...decisions decsions....
well I think I'll post this and head to bed...I watched Cybil tonight...I hadn't seen that movie in years...and I'm not sure I'd ever seen it in it's entirety...what a tear jerker...at one point I was just bawling because I cannot fathom how any parent can be so cruel to a child...the movie is based on someone's true story...and I also know that in this world somewhere right now a child is being abused...and it's just heartwrenching if you allow yourself to dwell on that for any amount of time...Sally Fields, I was reminded, is just such a phenomenal actress...she just amazes me how talented she is...
alrighty...rambling...

Cool that Hubby is in the mood to work on the house....I have finally convinced my Hubby that we need to paint our living room...so we have been talking about colors. And I still want you to that "writing on the wall"...I think it will be cool!
I want to see "Walk the Line"...and I agree...Sybill makes me cry and amazes me at Sally Field's acting skills!
Love ya....and miss you!
I used to love working on the house that we lived in when we were in TN! I love that bright yellow in the room. That makes the room so happy!
Hope you get your hubby to get at least most of the "list" done before the tractor pull season starts!
Lots of Love!
