I love scary movies....when I was a teenager...the scarier the better too man...vampire movies were my favorite...I even have a teddy bear named Norman Bates and my favorite teddy bear is named Freddy Kruger...I'm weird and a little warped...that's a given...lol...if you haven't figured that out by now, then you haven?t been reading my journal very long!! loll
But now that I'm grown up and have a husband that travels occasionally, I generally try to avoid watching scary movies because it means sleepless nights when my husband isn't home and my imagination is on overdrive.
So it was a free HBO preview weekend and I watched a few movies but I was a good girl and refrained from watching The Grudge and The Ring Two...I've seen The Ring...loved it but that movie was creepy as all get out and I still have visions of that weird little girl...anyway...so I was good and didn't watch those...I did watch White Noise...which was a little scary but mostly suspenseful...and then 28 Days Later was on last night on a normal channel...I watched it...it wasn't all that scary (but then again, when something startled me I'd change the channel real quick) but it just left me with a creepy, not-safe feeling...blah...I'm such a nerd...why do I do that? At least I was halfway smart (by not watching The Grudge and The Ring Two)! lol
Anyways...not a lot to journal about...husband is gone for 2 days and then I think he's taking the rest of the week off...wish I could but it's a criminal docket week and with missing so much work for going to the doctor, I just feel so stinking responsible to be here...lol...I am taking Friday off though...sister will be here and I know I'll want to go shopping with them!
Speaking of missing work to go to the doctor...can I tell you how thankful I am to have a woman boss...not only that, but I feel comfortable enough to talk to her about everything too...so she is understanding and stuff about all the appointments...she actually realized before I did how much I would be going to the doctor...lol...
umm...let's see...oh...went to Sunday School yesterday...the Song of Solomon thing...great so far...we're on courtship...which husband and I found out we did totally the opposite of Mr. Solomon...lol..thank heavens we're still ok though...I love that man...this session was all about treading lightly with the heart of the person that you are dating, pre-courtship phase, and how you should always leave room for the person to reject you kindly...lol..husband told me he loved me on our 3rd date...or that he felt he was falling in love me...and yesterday on the ride home from church he said that he had intended to make me feel really awful if I tried to dump him when we were dating...I told him that I could honestly say that dumping him never crossed my mind even once...we both were so far gone so quickly it wasn't even funny...anyway...I'm seeing the value of this SOS thing...because it causes you to reflect on your relationship and realize what you have and what you could use some work on in your relationship...
I have to say that I journaled some more stuff, but then the website went bizerk and this is all that I recovered...I'm thinking there wasn't much more...but I can't remember all what else I said...
praying for traveling mercies for Josy who's going to Vegas, my husband to and from the jobsite, and my sister coming to KY later this week (and her hubby going to basketball stuff)...I'm sooooo excited sister is coming....I'm taking Friday off cuz I know that I'll want to go shopping on Friday! (did I say this already? lol) and we sooo have to practice for Saturday....
ok...toodles

Sister...I am so excited about coming down too! I am leaving Wednesday afternoon...around the kids naptimes, I hope!!! I cannot wait to see the new house...and to spend time with you all! I miss you guys...and FAB has been saying Papaw, Mimi and YaYa a lot. I have been working on Jim...so she can melt his heart!!!
Love you....and looking forward to spending time with you this weekend!
I know you guys will have a great time!! :)
And, I agree, it's nice having a woman boss who'll understand all your "woman apts" :) That's a good thing...
Okay, we are SO not brain twins with the scary movies!! LOL :) But, when I do occasionally (read: VERY RARELY, IF NEVER LOL) watch somethin scary, my imagination goes crazy, and I find it hard to sleep, too!! LOL :)
Okay, better go :) Talk to ya later :)
I do NOT watch scary movies...I'll have nightmares for years! LOL!
That's funny about the whole courtship thing....I broke up with Hubby about two weeks into our relationship because he mentioned marriage (he told a joke about two married people) and I was like "NO WAY!"! LOL! We got back together the next day or that night or something! LOL!
Wish you could take off more time this week with your hubby!
Lots of Love!
You crack me up. I'm with you on the scary movies. I love them, but now I almost can't stand to watch them. They scare me too bad. My hubby and I watched one while I was pregnant and I told him we had better stop watching it or I just might go into labor!
So glad you get to spend some time with Missy this weekend. Enjoy it!
