Blahhhh….Thunder was a BLUNDER….for us anyway….it was wayyyyyy tooooo crowded to be enjoyable….800,000 people!!! Aggghhh!!! I saw at least one shouting match between two women, a big clumsy teen trip over a stroller and LAND ON THE TODDLER in the stroller….and my mom, dad, and husband got in a argument with one lady and dad got in an argument with someone else….all line cutters…lol….and I almost got swept away in a sea of people…it was trampling crowded and scary more than a few times….the weather was wonderful and we did enjoy the air show but by fireworks time the crowd was scary big and we had to “defend” our little territory so much that I just didn’t thoroughly enjoy the fireworks as much as usual. It will be a long while before husband and I go back there, especially on a beautiful day….and it will be a cold day in H-E double hockey sticks before I ever take a small child there….oh my heavens…a small child could have easily gotten lost, trampled or stolen in that crowd!! Agh!!....ok…I’m being a drama queen a little bit…but I’m that adamant about what a scary experience it was….I don’t like crowds anyway, but to me, in the past anyway, Thunder is one of those things that was worth the effort and aggrevation….but not this time…
Ok enough rambling about that….lol…
So I had a Dr’s appointment yesterday to go over my blood work results…all my hormone levels are fine….except I’m not rubella immune (measles virus) so I have to get a shot tomorrow and I cannot get pregnant for a month after the shot….blah…so that’s a small set back in our quest….
Well not really much else to type about….the weather has been absolutely gorgeous here…blah it’s suppose to rain today and tomorrow though…I’m starting to contemplate my garden plans…I’m always so gung ho at the beginning of the growing season….but then by the time the weeds start I’m disinterested….
I helped mow yesterday….that was fun….I was zooming on the mower and I noticed these birds….they are the ground nesting type birds and they were chirping and fluffing their feathers at me cuz I was getting close to their nest….so I carefully went around them….they are pretty birds…I used to know what they were called…I need to look that up…I am a nerd like that and like to know the names of the species near me….and also it bugs me that I can’t remember what they are called…grrrrr….
::off to search for the name of the bird::
Oh…P.s…(cuz I just read some of the comments to my last entry)
Gross toe update….it’s almost completely better…although I had to take one of the pain pills she prescribed on Friday night due to the pain of the tetnus shot…that thing hurt like a moe foe man! I got this big knot in my arm…I’m such a wimp! Lol
And Sebbiedue (lurker – I lurk you occasionally as well!) ::waving:: (LOL!!) the nickname of Buford for my husband came about because he LOVES the old Buford Pusser movies (that was the dudes real name too!) the old Walking Tall movies…I’d never heard of them until I met husband and I thought the dudes name was hilarious so I was telling my cousins about it and viola Buford was born…lol!
Alrighty….now I’m off to search for the name of that bird….toodles!!

Honey, I am paranoid about my son's bed being too close to a window in case someone breaks in and sees him and takes him (because he is the cutest kid around here...LOL)! So, I sooo know about being paranoid and not liking crowds, etc...
Sorry about the set back...but you need the shot! I mean, if you get pregnant, it won't kill you. People get pregnant drunk, high, on prescription medicine, etc. They just don't recommend it!
Have a great day today!
Lots of Love!
P.S.: Glad gross toe is better! LOL!
Yeah to what Kelly said, I smoked pot (I'm not proud of this, just stating a fact)and drank like a fish for the first 4 months of my pregnancy. While my kid isn't as cute as Kelley's, he's pretty gosh-d smart! So relax, stop looking at the timeline and enjoy the month of "practicing" *giggles*
Did you say Moe Foe?! I'm shocked! Glad your toe is feeling better! Sorry that your fireworks thing was not the most enjoyable. I know you were looking forward to it.
Love in Faith,
Josy
Okay.....no more comments about my Sister and Buford "trying".....getting pregnant is different from knowing they are "trying".....just kidding! But seriously, she is my big sis!!!! Love ya!!!!
I was long awaiting your post after Thunder. When I was talking to mom the other night....the first thing I said after she told me all about it was..."I bet Sister and Buford (only real names) aren't going back anytime soon." I know how you are in crowds.....and I am that way a bit. But when you have that many people together...and everyone thinking they are the only ones there.....rudeness is bound to happen! Sorry though...because I know how much you look forward to that each year. So, next year, we could just all go to your house.....put your TV on the front porch and crank the volume up and sit and watch them from the comfort of your house! OR...I have an LCD projector at work...I could bring that and we could project it up on a big screen! That would be even better! We'll see!
Glad you toe is getting better.....weird about the measles thing.......sorry you have had to have so many shots lately! But I agree with them.....keep trying and if it happens, it won't be the end of the world!
Love ya Sister!!!! I-Man's game is at 2:10 this Saturday....I forgot to mention that earlier!
Love ya!!!!!
Oh Sister that reminds me! I forget to say that! Next year we'll just go up the road a little ways on Friday night because they practice the fireworks on Thursday and Friday from the barge in the river. We watched fireworks on our porch on Friday night! They were pretty!!
Okay, I could have sworn I commented yesterday, but apparently I didn't. Sorry about the Thunder experience. I wouldn't have liked that one bit. I hate big crowds!
Sorry about the shot. What we women go through!!!! At least you can remind your child of all that you went through to get them (when they're being bad, that is).
Hope you have a good day and thanks for explaining Buford's name. I wondered about that, myself.
