Wednesday's ramblings....

Not really much to journal about folks…but I’m bored so here I am…lol…sorry this just might be a really boring entry….

was anyone surprised that Janie won the jury reward? I wasn’t surprised but I was glad that she won something for all the kickin butt she did in the competitions man!

And I was truly mortified for Ericka when they were playing all those clips of what Boogie said behind her back…really how totally embarrassing for her…I can’t say that she didn’t bring it upon herself though…I totally agreed with Allison when she told Ericka to go buy herself some dignity….oh man…and then to LOSE after watching your “boyfriend” trash ya…she has got to be a little embarrassed…

Husband was watching some of the finale with me and he just looked over at one point and said you watch this crap? Lol I said yup!

Anyway…I am apathetic about who won…I didn’t care for either of them but could Boogie have been more cocky? Ugh…what a punk…

Thank heavens that is over with!! I’m like sister…I needed closure…and I really do intend to not watch Big Brother anymore…I’m really ready for less slimy reality shows…lol…bring on Survivor!!

And then we watched the rock concert in our living room…I turn on the surround sound when Rock Star comes on and blast it…lol…Paula Abdul was even in the audience last night…she sat next to me! Lol…ok dork…so she didn’t sit next to me…but I’m telling you I love that show…the talent was just unreal this year too man…

I finally bugged husband enough and he hung my little shabby chic chandelier up last night…it will eventually be wired in but for now it’s hanging and I put a candle where the light bulb goes…husband said…umm don’t light that…I said I wasn’t planning on it but it has to look pretty while it hangs there un-electrified! Lol…

So our ten year anniversary is just around the corner…I’m very excited…I think I have decided to paint him a portrait of his tractor or his doggies for his present…I mean what do you get a man for an anniversary? Lol women are easy – diamonds! Lol but men…so I was trying to think of something that he would find sentimental and endearing…anyone have any ideas to share?

So our anniversary is on October 5, which is a Thursday, so we’ll probably celebrate that weekend. We were in the process of planning a trip to Alabama because my husband’s brother is in the Army and he was going to be home on leave from Oct 1 – 18 so we were going to go down that weekend and make it an extended trip because they live only about 2 or so hours from the Gulf...and I love the Gulf! But husband talked to his mother last night and for some reason BIL isn’t allowed to take all his leave (husband seems to think that the Army may do that so that people don’t go awol) so he will only be around for like 5 days and then he is being sent to Iraq at some point. Now, we’ve had this scare before….he says that he’s being sent to Iraq and then they end up stationing him somewhere else…so hopefully that’s the case…but anyway…so now I don’t think that we are going to get to visit with him before he is shipped off somewhere and we probably for sure won’t be making a trip to Alabama on our anniversary weekend…however, we had both cleared a few days off with our work for an extended weekend trip so now I’m looking on Expedia for trip deals…I’ve found cruise deals for like $189 per person….that is totally within our budget man! Anyway, my parents have this time share place and they get travel deals through there so I seriously need to get on that website and book something….husband is oking a trip that is not tractor pull related…I’m so not passing up that opportunity!! Lol…plus it is our 10 year anniversary!! That is a momentous occasion dang it!

I called sister last night though before we found out we aren’t going to Alabama that weekend…because G-girl is scheduled to arrive on Oct 9 and I made sure she was ok with me not being at the hospital this time…and while I was talking to her I reminiscing about when FAB was born, I took I-man back to his house after FAB arrived and before we settled in for a nap I had stopped and bought these glow in the dark stars and I-man and I got up on his top bunk and put the stars on the ceiling so I was thinking that by not being at the hospital this time I might miss something like that….so I got a little choked up…

Well I think I’m going to go make a trip to my happy place (flea market!)…you all have blessed day!
