Ok umm so I now know the name of the blood pressure medicine and for you nosey nellies (::lookin at Sara:: just kidding!!) anyway for curiosity sake…it is called…Methyldopa. Jimmie asked why the doctor put me on meth…haha.
Anyways so I’m happy to report that I missed those people at my doctors office so much that I paid em a visit this morning – first I must warn you that my typing is wayyyy off today because one of my eyes is almost swollen shut and my doctor prepared me for the fact that by tomorrow morning I may not in fact be able to open my eye. Yup….the poison ivy has taken over my face in a big way…I feel like the elephant man. It looks bad, but it doesn’t look nearly as bad as it feels….but anyways so I freaked out this morning when I noticed my droopy eye so I called the doc. What I’ve really been afraid of is that it might not be poison ivy at all but a recurrence of the impetigo – that would be much worse because of the rapid spreading and the scarring after. So it was as much for my peace of mind that I went to the doc this a.m.
So anyways she prescribed a steroid and gave me a pill to stop the itching. I also have a big patch on my hip. How aggrevating!
But what I started to say is that I’m happy to report that when they took my bp at the doc today it was 140/68. So either the meds are working or their thingy is broke. Actually what I noticed was that this time they took my bp on my right arm rather than the left and I had a long sleeve jacket. But, whatever. They were happy that it was down and so was I, I must say.
Apparently my journal has turned into this diatribe of the many medical ailments and woes of me. I think I’ll take bets as to which ailment may strike me next! Good grief! lol I’m becoming a WebMd junky - Oh, speaking of which, by the way, was wrong about poison ivy. WebMd said that poison ivy is not contagious but the doctor today was talking about the oils that weep out and that is contagious. And also, my husband has a patch on his neck – right where the side of my head (which is totally all broke out) rests when I hug him! So I gave it away. So if I follow Jimmie’s logic about ailments, if I give it away I will get over it quicker!
So anyway, me and my elephantitis face need to get some work done….hope ya’ll have a great weekend!!

I'm really surprised that WEBMD said that poison ivy isn't contagious. That's why they tell kids not to go to school when they have it. What a thing to be wrong about on that website!
Sorry that you're having such a rough time. The good thing is that when I feel bad or notice something on me, I can trust your website to give me the answers better than WEBMD! lol!
All joking aside, I hope you feel better soon and it doesn't ruin your weekend!

Nosy Nellie here! ha ha ha! You poor thing! So sorry you can't seem to get healthy. At least your BP's down! I hope the ivy goes away soon! That can't be fun! My hubby's allergic to it, so he freaks out if he thinks he's anywhere near it. Yikes!
