Yay I can access this journal from work wahoo...ok so my desk wasn't nearly as loaded up as I was afraid it would be...it helped that I only really was out three days...I feel like a new person from the last time I was here though...I think that both church services yesterday really helped..but also I did get a lot of rest and our problems are on the way to being mended...still no leaks! yay...::knocking on wood:: lol...and we had such a blessed holiday and visit with my family...it was really just an excellent week...ya know what I think made it even better...having such a rotten week the week before...lol...
anyway...I'm just so happy and blessed today...just thought I'd share that....
and ya know what makes coming back to work even better...I do have some catch up work to do...but my boss is working at home and the staff attorney is under the weather...so there is no one to bug me while I'm getting caught up! I did call my boss and we talked a good while...her oldest daughter just started college in Chicago so for Thanksgiving she, her husband, and their other two daughters went to Chicago...I talked to Judge's husband first and he and my husband are two peas in a pod...he wasn't enthralled with Chicago...have ya ever been? I wasn't enthralled either...but he is more of a country boy...but that was my opinion of Chicago when I've been...it's just big and dirty...I thought I went to the wrong part lol...he said nope...it's all big and dirty...lol...but they had a good visit with their daughter...
well...I better get to cracking on this work I've got to do...hope you all have a blessed week!!
Love and hugs all around....

I had a friend live in Chicago and they felt the same way about it...dirty! Then eventually came back to TN! Glad you are having such a good Monday! It's bound to be a great week if Monday is going well! Lots of Love!
I LOVE Hanging of the Greens...I wish my church would do it, too...puts meaning behind the decorations :)
Anyways, I'm so glad that your leak is fixed!! :) PTL!! :)
I'll talk to ya later :)
Sister....I remember when we went to Chicago....I thought that was a fun trip! I guess mostly because that is one of the last real memories I have of Grandpa...remember that McDonalds we went to??!?!
Glad you had a good Monday! Hope you have a good Tuesday! Love ya!
I don't think I went on that trip...I can't remember it anyway...I went more recently with Jimmie...we flew there I think I was between jobs, during the move, and so I went and he had to work and I thought that I'd be able to navigate around all day...but we stayed in a heavy construction area and it was sort of secluded so I didn't go out much...
we used to travel to the suburbs of Chicago a lot though...Aurora...we went there a lot...but I don't think I went on the trip you are talking about...maybe more details would refresh my memory...sorry..lol
love you!
South Dakotans feel the same way about Sioux City...I even hate driving by the city on the interstate! Glad your leaks are fixed. We still have the one in the office from the birds (long story, maybe someday I'll journal about it) so if you and Buford want to come visit us in SD...LOL!
I don't know if you were on that trip or not...but we went up there with G-Ma and G-Pa to visit Uncle Joe and Aunt BJ....that was the first time we played Balderdash....and we went to Chicago and went to this McDonald's that was very cool! It was all decked out in Oldies stuff. Had an Elvis statue and records in the table...very retro and very cool. I just remember how cool G-Pa thought it was. We spent a long time in there just trying to see everything. That is all I really remember about it...
that and Nick was so funny. He came in to the kitchen in the morning and asked for something weird for breakfast...just to get our attention...and we heard him sing opera for the first time. Memories......!!!!!
