Happy Monday ya'll!

I had a pretty good weekend...let's see...I journaled about movies I watched on Saturday while crafting...oh...I did watch 50 First Dates...that was really sweet...and Jimmie and I watched Spanglish again and I bawled then too...it is just a sweet movie...Adam Sandler really gave a great performance in a different sort of role for him....

Sunday husband woke me up and told me he wanted to go to Sunday School...we have kinda gotten out of the habit of going to Sunday School but he just really felt like he needed to go...so we went and oh my heavens! It was like the Lord came down and said they need this lesson today so that's exactly what the lesson will be about....seriously, husband and I have had an ongoing discussion last week about an issue and that was EXACTLY....not just sort of...but EXACTLY what the lesson was about....I almost laughed out loud when the Sunday School teacher asked the first question...what a wonderful fabulous God we serve...His timing is everything...that was very needed!

We had a wonderful worship service...Preacher P has diabetes...(this part isn't so wonderful) and he said his sugar was very high this morning...and he was kinda acting a little out of it...one of the lay people put his arm around Preacher P and prayed with him before the sermon and he delivered a wonderful sermon...

then Jimmie and I went to the grocery store to get some things for lunch...he watched the Bengals whoop the Steelers!! Wahoo...If you aren's aware...the Steelers and the 49ers are sort of the Bengal's "arch enemies"...I'm so happy that the Bengals are doing so well this year...I don't really watch football..but I've always been a Bengal fan...anyway...husband watched football and I went upstairs and painted another slate (which turned out so pretty I want to keep it! lol) and watched some more free HBO...I can't remember what all I watched but I do know that Shark Tales came on and I watched that...when I'm painting I'm only halfway watching tv...but that's what I like to do...lol..sometimes I look at something I've painted and it will remind me of a certain movie or tv show...anyway...ummm...then I got sleepy so I decided to take a nap....then after I relunctantly got up from my nap, Jimmie and I went to an open house dinner party that a family at church was having...and we had a wonderful time!! Dinner was great and the company was nice...then after dinner we all gathered around the piano and sang Christmas songs!! It was like an old fashioned Christmas movie or something...it was just very enjoyable...toward the end the hostess asked if I would like to sing a solo...and I declined because I was enjoying listening to everyone sing...I felt a little put on the spot but I think I handled it ok...anyway...it was just a really nice evening...I got to know some people that I didn't really know and talked more with people I already knew...I'm so glad that we went....

So now it's Monday and I'm at work and thus far I haven't done very much work...so it may not be a productive Monday....lol...and journaling can't help that much so I better go and try and get some work done...it's very cold here today...oh and tonight husband and I are getting our picture taken for the church directory and if they turn out we may get some prints too...we are not photogenic at all but we hardly ever have our picture taken so I'm hoping they turn out halfway decent...

alrighty...I should get some work done..."talk" to you all later....

toodles

Spanglish was an awesome movie! It cracked me up how the mom was always, we have to be together on this (parenting issues) - but we're gonna do it my way! It really touched me too, I'm usually not a gusher for movies, but this one did make me cry. I feel the same way about Mark's job as you do about hubby's - the less I know the better!

I love to watch tv while I'm scrapping or knitting. I don't watch the tv much either, but it's nice background noise! Hope your pictures turn out well. I hate to get my picture taken! Lots of Love!

Hope the pictures turn out well! We would love a picture to put in our "Wall of Fame"....FAB is so cute whenever we carry her down the hall...she says "hi" to all the pictures. She could say "hi" to Yaya and Uncle Buford too!!!

Glad you had a good weekend! We went to a party once where everyone sat around and sang Christmas carols...so fun!!! And WOW! Isn't it cool that God was totally speaking to Buford to get up and go to SS!!! He is awesome!!!

Love ya!
