Hey Girlies

Happy Friday!! wahoo...I love Fridays....

sooo...let's see...I haven't journaled since Wednesday here at work...Wednesday evening I umm...I made ravioli for dinner..and took a little nap and watched Idol and LOST...Wednesdays are always sort of a crash night for some reason...

I've really been in a cooking mood this week...Monday we had a potluck at church and I made meatballs...not great gormet dish there lol....but Tuesday night I made homemade pizza on OH MY GOODNESS....I wish I could have you all over for dinner so that you could taste my homemade pizza...it is out of this world...I don't mean to toot my own horn but husband and I both sat there eating it and mmmmm'in after every bite...neither of us could get over how good it was...lol...then yesterday before work I put a pork roast in the crock pot with some green beans, an onion, and some potatoes...I have never made a pork roast...it was totally delicious! Tonight we'll have leftovers lol...

Last night after dinner I went upstairs to help hubby take down a chiminey...he's been working in the yellow bedroom to repair the water damage in the ceiling...he's got the damaged portion torn out and we figured since he's working on that and the Amish took the top part of the chimney off when they worked on our roof because we have a gas insert in that fireplace, we might as well take the chimney out of that room and make a bigger closet. The plan is to get this room back in shape and move our bedroom up there temporarily (or maybe permanently if we like it) because our bedroom downstairs needs to have some drywall patched and it needs re-painted badly...it is pale pink right now...which is ok because it used to be a teenage girls room...but I don't love it...so last night I helped husband, he took bricks off the chimney and handed them to me to stack in a corner...lol..I told him I wanted to help because I always love to hear about couples restoring or working on their old houses together. It's sweet...lol...and it actually was good bonding time! Plus I did lifting and squats! lol...free exercise!

Then I read testimonies! WOW! How uplifting to hear other people's stories...I need to share mine soon...lol..I'm getting my thoughts together...I could type a book as I"m sure we all could...so anyway...I"m getting my thoughts together...but it was really wonderful to read about how wonderful our Saviour is!

Then husband went to bed and I watched Earl...that show is a hoot...so is the office...oh man...funny stuff...then I started to watch House Hunters but I fell asleep so I dragged myself to bed...and now I'm at work...and I probably should attempt to get some work done! lol ya think? blah...I"m ready to go home already lol...oh well...talk to you all later tater...ya know, I really think I should change my nickname to Typo Goddess...lol...I really do make a lot of typos...and they bug the heck outta me!! lol...

ok bye!!

Okay, I give up. When I read your blog at work, the tan blog space shows up. When I read it at home, it's all the blue and black checked. ??? Well, if you and hubby ever get tired of working on your house, please come help us with ours! Oh, super easy and super yummy roast in the crockpot recipe - I use it with pork or beef (whatever is cheaper). 1 jar (an entire jar) of apricot jam, a couple squirts of mustard (2 tablespoons is my guess), mix it up and dump it on and cook on low. I slice some onion on top but otherwise do my veggies seperate. If it dries out (which hasn't happened to me yet) add some chicken broth/stock. Something about the sugar from the preserves makes it super tender.

Cooking...that is NOT something I enjoy to do! I wish you lived closer so we could just come over to your house for dinner sometimes! Hubby usually does most of our cooking!!! He spoils me so much!

Cool that you are working on your house together! I think you could really make that entire upstairs like your "Master Bedroom Suite"!

The kids and I might be down sometime in March...when Hubby does his "boys weekend". That was always my tradition...to go to mom and dad's....so I think we will still come down. Either stay with you guys or with Mom and Dad.

Okay...nmj! Love ya Sister!!!
