Friday's ramblings....

So we did something sort of out of our box of experience last night…and it was interesting…we went to a local government political forum….where all the local candidates for some of the hotly contested offices had to answer a few questions. I was afraid it would be deathly boring and after sitting in court all day I was so not in the mood for deathly boring….but it was surprisingly informative and also I got to meet some of my neighbors….well we had met our county judge exec a few times before….husband called him when he was looking in to starting that pizza business and they sort of hit it off…but I hadn’t met his wife before last night….they live like less than a half a mile away from us…and then also our next door neighbor (he's running for an office) because husband is who he is (mr. Sociable!), he’d met the husband and I had met him a few times but last night we got to meet his wife….so that was fun! We even got invited to the post election party at the judge exec’s house! How hob knobby are we! Lol

It turns out that the Sheriff’s office is going to be the most interesting of the races….there is are really only two viable candidates….the other two…one guy just wants to get out and meet everyone in the county and the other guy (why are the Independent party people always so out there!) he’s just special….he walked around with the microphone like he was Phil Donohue! But he was entertaining that’s for sure.

So after that we went to Hometown Pizza to eat and then we came home…I had attempted to tape Survivor but it didn’t take…so I hopped online to the TVClubhouse site. I frequent that site a lot during Big Brother season, because the people with live feeds type what is happening in the house. But the site isn’t just about BB….it’s all things reality tv related lol…I’ll have to put a link on here later cuz I’m currently journaling at work…but anyway…sure enough they had a Survivor section and people actually watch the show and type what is happening…so I read up on last nights episode of survivor….searched for some new graphics and went to bed.

Note to self: I need to put on here also the link to the little primitive shop just up the road…I bet Queen has come across their website in her web searches….it’s Primitive Blessings Twigs n Sprigs….I’ll link it later…..

But anyway….umm…our air conditioning is once again broken here at the courthouse…criminals are not happy people anyway…but can you imagine hot criminals…lol…plus being hot makes my tempter short and I can’t concentrate….blah…it’s a whole county and state issue and no one seems to be getting straight answers but it is driving me bonkers! We live and vote in a different county than I work in but if it had been the right county last night I would have totally submitted a court facility question…I feel like writing a letter to the editor or something…because this is really such a huge waste of money…the heat is blasting and we have all the doors open (we’d have our windows open too but they don’t open)

Anyway…wa wa wa…I’m sure that you don’t want to hear me griping….plus I’m all geeked about doing something out of our comfort zone last night so I’m a happy camper basically….and also IT’S FRIDAYYYYYYY WAHOOOOO

Happy Friday!!

You crack me up! I'm glad I'm not the only one with comfort zone issues! Congratulations on stepping outside the box!

Bummer about the air conditioning! That's gotta stink! Maybe even literally...

Have a great weekend! I hope you make it up here to spend some time with the family!

You work in a building that has the heat blasting! Are they crazy!?!??!?! I can't even begin to imagine what the people downstairs feel like! LOL!

Sounds neat about you going to that meeting. Well, it really sounds boring, but I'm glad it got to be neat. LOL! Have you decided what year you're runnin' for president??

Lots of Love!
