I have an addiction…Hello my name is Jodi and I’m addicted to going to the very shabby chic flea market (or as I like to call it “My happy place”) on my lunch break and spending money on more junk!!
I’m a total pack rat…let’s get that out of the way right now…I’ve been doing something about it though…I have been going around the house and gathering up junk that I’m not using and bringing it to work to decorate our offices…so I’m not really getting rid of junk…I really don’t think of it as junk…I’ll call it bobbles…I’m not really getting rid of bobbles just moving them around….blah….I need to just go and gather up stuff and have a yard sale….
But I digress…I just came back to work from lunch break and I went to the flea market since the radio in my car doesn’t work right now…oh there’s another thing I need to (whine) journal about….anyway…flea market …focus…lol…
Umm so I bought a king size quilt for $15.00…it has two little tiny spots on it that I’m sure I can Shout it out…a letter and key box organizer thingy for by the front door and a tin wall sconce that I couldn’t live without! Lol After I picked up the quilt I was close to the cash register so I made myself go there before I picked up anything else…
So in the last three or four weeks I’ve bought something at the flea market at least once a week…I’m getting concerned with myself lol….
Ok my car is on my nerves…it started last Thursday and I think husband has figured out it’s a fuse issue but which fuse? My radio, my locks, my windows, and my interior dome light are not working…at first it was a sporadic problem…one of those problems where ya tell your husband about it and then he goes out to check it out and it’s totally working so I look like I’m on crack…yeah one of those…lol….but since Monday morning it has been a consistent issue…all those buttons are just dead….blahhh…I do have to say that I’m thankful that it isn’t the windows and the air conditioning…that would be unbearable!
Ok…I should have started out with this part and I should have journaled about this a week ago…I have a HUGE PRAISE TO THE LORD!!!! It’s a financial thing…ok so all this testing that I went through to find out if I’m fertility challenged…I got four rejection notices from my insurance saying that they wouldn’t pay because they do not cover fertility treatment…well I had reviewed my policy prior to the testing and I found that while it is true they do not cover fertility treatment, they do cover the diagnostic services prior to fertility treatment. So after all the rejections came back, which totaled well over $1000.00, I went through the appeals process…and last week I received a letter from my insurance company saying that upon further review….ALL OF THE BILLS ARE PAYABLE by the insurance company since it was diagnostic services not treatment!!!!! HALLELUIJAH!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!! Needless to say I am a very happy camper!! YAHOOO!!!! What a load off man! Now so they don’t pay for the Chlomid, which is about $20.00 bucks for 5 pills…so really not that big of a deal…
Speaking of chlomid…I’ll be able to take that this month and get back on track with the baby quest since it’s been a month since the Rubella shot…so keep us in your prayers!
We’ve been tossing around names (I know it is wayyyy early for us to be doing that but it’s fun) and husband told me that all his life his favorite name for a girl is Rhonda. I’m sorry…I don’t want to offend anyone whose name is Rhonda… but I DO NOT like that name…so veto…lol…I like Gracie but every new born baby girl within a ten mile radius (literally) is named Gracie….so I also like Chloe or Hannah. (I’ve really always like Samantha and husband and I had agreed on that one for years but recently one of his cousins had twins, Sam and Samantha….stinkers they stole both my favorite names in one fell swoop!!)
ok then for boys…a long long time ago, I told husband that I kind of liked Roddack and call the kid Roddie (it’s a really high end motor brand name lol) but that was so a few years ago and I don’t like that anymore…I do however like Diesel….or Cooper…but Cooper rhymes with Pooper and ya gotta know that kids will put that together…but Diesel…Blaize or Eli…I like weird names ok! Lol
You’ve heard people talk about celebrities calling their kids funny names…well I tend to like the names they make fun of! Like, for example, Penn (of Penn and Teller) named his daughter Moxy Crimefrighter….I love that! How cool would it be to say My kid’s name is Moxy Crimefighter…ok I’m strange I know…lol…
But anyway….well I better get back to work…happy Wednesday! Prayers and love to all the journal goddesses as ya’ll go about your busy days….

You almost made me spit out my pop when you started in on names! No offense to your hubby, but RHONDA??? I laughed out loud at that one. I kind of like the Moxy Crimefighter myself too. I had heard that...my full name is Saranna, so feel free to steal that one if it strikes your fancy. I don't know of another one.
I'm quite jealous of your flea market! I love shabby chic stuff, but my hubby would never let me decorate with it. I say buy buy buy...spend spend spend! :)
I have a name for you, one that I considered if I had a girl:
Kanae (pronounced Kuhn-long i) it means wishes come true in Japanese! I thought Kanae Rose would have been the prettiest name...
You and me girl, compulsive shoppers all the way. I keep telling myself "no more books"...yeah, that's why I have 3 boxes hidden in the closet. (Shhh...don't tell Kelley.)
Love in Faith,
Josy
OH LORD.....well, you don't have to worry about me stealing any of your names....WEIRDO!!! LOL...I was reading your journal at home and had to read it out loud to Hubby and I-Man and we all got a good laugh out of your names....they are a little out there...Love you Sister!!!! I-Man really laughed at Cooper and Pooper....and the rest of them too...he is in a funny mood!
We still don't know what we are going to name our little girl...but tell Buford not to worry about us stealing Rhonda!!!!
Love ya....and can't wait until we get a free weekend so we can come down there and I would like to go to the flea market!!!
Love ya!
You know, when we were trying to settle on names for Pita Pocket, we did that rhyming game too....with EVERY name we came up with!! LOL!
I really like those names (and the one Josy picked too)! I am a fan of strange names. Hubby is not! We settled on "heard it before, but will have to repeat for people"!!!! LOL!
That is wonderful about your insurance thing too! Quick tip....ask your doctor for a few of the "codes" on your chart that your insurance might pay for. Sometimes they can use a different code and the insurance pays for it when other codes they won't! It's not exactly right, but my doctor did it! LOL!
Lots of Love!
Brain Twin, I like your names!! (mostly...Rhonda I guess is Buford's, and there's no claim to brain twinness with him!! LOL) I wanna go to the shabby chic flea market, too!! It'd be hard for me to stay away, too!!
Okay, better go :) Talk to ya later :)
