Oh my heavens the American Idol concert was sooooo awesome!! Mandissa opened it up…awesome…I think Chris was my favorite though…because hello…he’s so talented…but my most favorite song performance of the night was when Chris, Elliott, Bucky, and Ace sang “Patience” (I think it was the Guns n Roses version of the song but I also think Bob Dylan or someone like that wrote and performed it a long time ago) but anyway Chris played his guitar a lot…which was so wonderful…and those four guys singing harmony – it was hot! Lol

Another highlight was watching my mother do the Taylor Hicks soul patrol dancing…lol…I’d say he was her favorite of the evening but she also really liked when the four guys did “Patience”….also, sister can attest to this, before the concert they played random things on the screens and they were showing like Oscar clips or something and every time they showed a picture of Johnny Depp my mother would hoop and holler like a construction worker…LOLOLOL!!!!! Hilarious…

I gotta say that while Taylor is very talented and totally entertaining…I don’t love some of the songs he sings…he sings a lot of like Hughie Louis and Springsteen songs and I just have never really liked a lot of their songs…but it was really cool to see him! And he really was the best choice to be the winner and finale person for the concert…he seemed to pull everyone together nicely…does that make sense? Like he was a good balance of all the different music styles…

Lisa was one the impressed me a lot too…she played the piano and sang a few Elton John songs then she and Paris did a song together and then Paris shook her booty and sang Crazy in Love (Beyonce song)…

The only HUGE BUMMER of the evening was that I had the bright idea of using the fourth ticket for I-man and he did really well during the first half of the concert but then he was done so sister and I-man had to leave…it makes me want to cry every time I think of that!!!! But mom said that maybe it was God’s way of protecting little G-girl though because it was terribly loud in there!

We had a great weekend visit though….FAB is talking way more…sister had taken both kiddos to the doctor on Thursday and apparently the doc asked sister how many words she thought FAB knew and sister guesstimated about 50…well, I think FAB must have heard her because she did a fabulous job of proving sister very wrong this weekend!! Lol she knows lots of words and can even use complete sentences! She is stinking cute…I miss her so much! I-man was such a sweet boy this weekend too…I love that little guy so much…I am just amazed that he starts kindergarten this year…mom said she wishes she could be a fly on the wall when he starts k…and I said me too! I’m so excited for him and the new experiences in this next phase of his life!

Since husband was in Bowling Green at a tractor pull all weekend I just took my stuff and stayed over there at mom n dad’s all weekend too…we really had a good time…we went yard sale-ing and sister I went to the Vera store and we each got new Vera’s! Only sister later discovered that her strap had a malfunction so mom is taking that back for her today…come to think of it, maybe sister didn’t have such a good weekend after all…ugh…I still want to cry about her missing the second half of the concert….

Anyways…so when I got home yesterday afternoon I went out to the garden and picked tomatoes until my basket was overflowing and I was tired!! I definitely have enough to make salsa and sgetti sauce!

I came in and fixed supper and watched BB….

ok so Saturday night after everyone went to bed, I wasn’t sleepy yet so I broke down and read the TVCLUBHOUSE live feed recaps…so I knew the gist of what would happen on last night’s show…however, it was much better to watch it unfold on tv last night…Because I only skim the live feed recaps, I was wondering how it was that Howie came to be nominated…and I think Howie is right, the Chicken man was more or less threatened by Boogie to not nominate Will…I thought it was funny how Will said that although it was his idea to put himself on the block, he had neglected to tell Boogie…and just now that I’m typing it out, I’m wondering if that was on purpose…because that put a target on Chicken George and it would have gotten Boogie to use his special power to save someone other than himself…hmm interesting…but anyway…what a fun show…I don’t understand why Howie and then later Boogie yelled “Superman”…

I have to say, I’m kinda happy Howie is gone…he was more annoying this year…but I am rooting for Janie…it just seems like she is working the hardest (but not really the smartest!) for the prize and she’s totally opposed in the house man…but I definitely think they all messed up by not getting Will and Boogie out a long long time ago…I don’t think anyone realized how charming, conniving, and manipulative Will is…

then I was being a grumpalump so I went to bed after BB…I told husband this morning that I was acting like FAB lol….I was being very grumpy…lol

so now I’m at work and I need to do some work…lol…oh I just found out that I’m getting a window that opens! Yay! Our courthouse is an old building so sometimes it’s too hot and sometimes it’s too cold and I think you all remember me whining because our AC has been broken in the past…one of the biggest problems has been ventilation due to not one window being the kind you can open, so now they are installing windows that open in some areas of the building…I didn’t realize that I was going to be so lucky!! So yay! Just in time to enjoy some of that nice crisp air in the fall too!!

Well I better get some work done…toodles!
