Insert clever title here

Well we put our tree up last night…it’s not decorated yet but the massive tree has overtaken our living room once again…lol…we haven’t actually put it up for a few years so I was secretly hoping the mice had gotten into the box and chewed the dickens out of it so I could get a new oh so chic slim line pencil pine Christmas tree…but noo it’s in excellent condition…I know I’m exaggerating because our ceilings aren’t 20 feet tall but honestly the thing looks 20 feet tall…it’s actually probably about 9 or 10 foot tall…I dunno…I’m not actually real good with eyeing measurements…like right now I’m mentally thinking ok your husband is 6’4 and can’t quite reach the top of the tree but almost so that’s got to make the tree about 9 or 10 feet tall…

Oh this is funny…so a few weeks ago when mom and sis were here and we went to the primitive store at the other end of my road, I bought this metal star with a light in the middle tree topper. I have to say when I bought it I was unsure if we would use it because growing up we always had an angel tree topper at my house and husband’s family had always used an angel too…so that’s like a tradition…an angel goes on top the tree…but the metal star was so pretty I bought it anyway…so last night, we do put the topper on since it’s hard to reach later, so I bring out the metal star and husband threw a fit! Lol…so I told him I actually anticipated that this would be a point of contention so I went to get our angel…he told me I could put the star in window or something…lol…I just found that whole situation sweet and funny sorta so I thought I’d share….

So we had to rearrange our living room since that’s really the only room a tree that tall can go into...it’s always dangerous when I rearrange furniture in one room cuz then I totally want to rearrange every room in the house…it’s a sickness….lol…I wouldn’t make a good spouse for a blind person…lol….

Anyway so I’m looking forward to going home to decorate some more tonight…and I bought some Christmas presents today!! My shopping has officially started which is early for me!

Husband and I have this tradition that when we are building the tree together we watch Christmas Vacation…so we held that tradition and we were both saying all the lines in unison…I think we’ve watched that movie too much over the years! Lol Cousin Eddie is my husband’s inspiration in life if that describes my husband’s personality to anyone who doesn’t have the pleasure of knowing him….lol…although I can actually see a lot “Clark Griswald” qualities in him….but enough of that…lol….

Tonight I feel like watching It’s a Wonderful Life maybe….I have to go to the grocery first though…oh joy….

So husband and I are starting to feel semi-normal again so that’s good…

I’m sure I wanted to journal about something else but I can’t think of it right now…umm…nope…not a thought in my head…so I guess I’ll just post this…
Happy Wednesday!

WOW! I can't believe you put your tree up already!!! Good for you guys! My angelkids could help you decorate it....that is if you want only the lower part and only in one spot decorated...oh, and you have to help FAB and hold Baby at the same time that I-Man is asking you a million questions about each ornament. Aren't you glad they aren't there to "help" you? LOL I crack myself up! But that is what it was like here!!!!

Glad you are feeling better...I have done some Christmas shopping, but I am hoping to do more next week after Thanksgiving! I want to go shopping on Friday...with all the nut-jobs!!!

Love ya...and will see you next week! We are either coming down on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning...but will probably go to Mom and Dad's first so we don't get in your way. Who knows? It is still up in the air!

Love ya!!!

You all are so getting me anxious to put up our tree....but I'll just have to wait till this weekend!

That's cute about the star tradition! We've always had an angel too....and I'm sure that won't change this year! LOL!

We'll have to rearrange the den too when we put up the tree. I LOVE to rearrange. I was laughing at not making a good spouse for a blind person! LOL!

Lots of Love!

We always watch Christmas Vacation too!!!!! That's my favorite Christmas movie! You almost made me bust a gut when you said you wouldn't make a good spouse to a blind person! LOL.

I'm so extremely jealous that you, Missy, and Mandy all have your trees up! I would normally think your family is just plain crazy, but seeing as how I'm chomping at the bit to do mine, I can't exactly say that! You'll have to post a pic of your tree. I'd love to see the 9, 10, 20 foot tree you have....
