grr so last winter I had this layout that I thought I had been all smart and saved all the code for to use this year but apparently I didn't save it grrr. So now I have to "redecorate" my blog for winter from scratch argh...which I'm just not in the mood to do tonight but just knowing that a harvest type layout is out there...blah I just feel like I should be decorated for Christmas here too...I'm a NERD lol and I'm rambling....
So anyway I thought I'd post a few photos since I'm here...
Here's our Christmas tree...husband informed me that despite my being unable to eyeball a measurement, the tree is a 9-foot tree....lol
This is the pie safe that dad made me a few years ago (he made all us girls one) and I recently added the tin panels - it was just bead board inserts in the door but I found tin inserts at my flea market! (Queeny, dad specifically asked that I show you a picture of this. He thought you'd really like it.)
And this is a wreath I made at our office wreath making party....A lady that makes wreaths and decorates small Christmas trees taught us a thing or two...mostly, the more you pile on something the better it's supposed to look! lol

What is a pie safe?
umm a pie safe is that piece of furniture in the picture!! lol
seriously, I think it is a very old word for the type of cupboard or cabinet that it is. In the old days they were used to keep pies in I guess...lol

HEHEHEHEH....Josy is just cracking me up these days! But, she is right! What the heck is a pie safe?!?!? Mine should be called a "media safe" because we have books, cds, tapes, VCR tapes and DVDs in ours. We used it because we could close up the clutter.... a theme with me!!!
Anyways....as pretty as all of those things are...they are even prettier in person!

Yeah, still waiting on a pie safe, or a quilt rack, since he had to go and throw his back out & miss my wedding!! Yes, it has been 6 years, and yes I'm still holding a grudge!! LOL :)
Beautiful!! GORGEOUS!! :) And, Brain Twin, I TOTALLY know what you're saying about the whole Santa vs. Jack Frost thing. I thought the same thing when I saw the first previews!! You're so funny, though, they looked at you like you were green!! LOL That made me giggle out loud :)
