People are goofy…I just answered a phone call…and just for example…I answer the phone Judge Jim Bob’s office how can I help you? And the woman on the other end asks is this Judge Pearl Harbor’s office? Umm did I say Judge Pearl Harbor when I answered the phone or did I say Jim Bob??? Hellllooo? Lol
Anyways…umm Hi n stuff….
I don’t really have a whole lot to journal about…I haven’t had much to say for a few days so I haven’t journaled…
I actually started typing this entry yesterday and I was in a mood so I had typed a whole bunch about how goofy people in Louisville are and have been about their college sports coaches…I’ve never lived in an area that was so focused and self absorbed when it comes to sports…I mean you’d think that the Ville had the world’s best football team and basketball team the way people carry on about them…it’s funny and endearing mostly…lol…but like I said I had a wholllleee bunched typed about what is going on and number 1, I don’t feel like continuing my ramblings about that, and 2, it would be totally boring to anyone else anyway…lol….so I highlighted and deleted a couple of paragraphs….
We are really having dilemmas regarding husband’s work situation. We could totally use all your prayers for wisdom and guidance about which direction to go. Sorry sister…none of the options before us right now would involve a move back to Ohio…plus husband and I don’t want to get the reputation for being the people who follow my parents around the countryside - every time they move – we move sort of thing…lol…but by the end of the week we will know if his current company definitely will ask him to stay. In order to avoid law suits in a mass firing, they made everyone in husband’s department re-submit applications if they wanted to stay with the company and then they plan to only hire like 3 or 4 out of 15 or 20 (not exactly sure about the numbers, but you get the gist of what they are doing). By all accounts and rumors, husband should most likely get an offer, however that’s not in stone and husband isn’t exactly sure that he wants to stay. The plan is, his company is going to make their offers by Friday and then the new company in town plans to make their offers by next Wednesday. So by the end of next week, hopefully husband will have two offers to consider. We both had been thinking that probably the new company would be the best option right now, but now we’re just not so sure. There are positives and negatives with any decision and they seem to be pretty equal right now…so umm anytime God wants to call us to the nearest mountain and chisel the right thing to do on a stone tablet for us…that would be fabulous! Lol…seriously please pray that God would make it clear to us. Thanks so much for your continued prayers.
We have children’s church on Sunday…and we have become the favorite children’s church people so I need some more ideas for lesson/activity plans that will be fun and biblical. Any suggestions would be most welcome!!! But seriously, a couple of months ago was our last turn at CC and husband and I both were very ill and the kids were hosting a luncheon after church anyway, so we missed that turn and every Sunday since this one little girl asks if it’s our turn yet…I have to say that really feels good! But husband thinks it’s because we kinda have loose reins and let the kids run wild…lol…I object! We do tend to sort of be free spirits but I don’t think we let them get out of hand…
But anyways…I’m totally babbling….and now I’m going to whine…I took down all the Christmas decorations last weekend…got all the decorations off the tree….but remember my complaints about the tree – it’s honking huge – so I told husband that was his responsibility…it’s Thursday January 10th and the tree is still in my living room!!! Argh! Oh well…maybe this weekend…also I’m in the mood to paint another room in my house. I think it’s going to be the kitchen…husband and I are still negotiating the color…I want a light lime green that will compliment the light blue of the gathering room (which is the name I gave the room next to the kitchen) and also red accents will look fabulous with the lime green – I am really in to red accentry right now. Husband doesn’t like the lime green idea. So alternates I’ve been giving him is red or orange. He really likes the orange idea. He said ohhh Allis Chalmer orange and he ran into the other room and brought me an Allis Chalmer toy tractor that he has (husband collects toy tractors). He said see, Allis Chlamer orange and cream (the middle thingy of the tires is cream colored). ::eye roll: boy kids…I’m still leaning toward the lime green and him learning to like it…but we’ll see….
I must be in a babbling mood…sorry! Lol
Oh last Saturday we went over to mom and dad’s and played games and mom got me this game for Christmas called Apples to Apples…it’s like a word association game…really fun! We had a good time. Then we also played Rook and it became totally clear where I get my poor math skills…my mother…lol…but anyway we had fun…
Oh and mom, sister, and I are going to go see The Lion King in June!!! I’m soooo excited!!
Well I should try to get some work done…hope everyone’s 2007 is going great! American Idol starts soon!! I’m excited to see how in the world they can top last year’s talent. It just seems that every season gets better and better…
Ok toodles!

Hey Sister....praying that the work situation gets figured out. I know what you mean about wanting very clear direction about which is the right job....even if I don't think that either of them are because they are both in KY still! LOL But seriously... praying for you guys!!! That is a scary situation to be in!
Uhh...people and their sports.... you should've been in Ohio this week! I was surprised that they weren't flying the flags at half-mast on Tuesday! LOL
I think you should do the light lime green. Afterall, who is doing the painting? Just tell him that they mixed it wrong and wouldn't take it back! lol
Excited about Lion King....and that is neat that you guys got to play games with Mom and Dad. We don't get to do stuff like that with the kids around...they want all of Mom and Dad's attention... so I miss that kind of time!!!
Love ya!!!
I've missed you! Glad you took some time to write, even if it's "rambles" as you put it.
I've seen that Apples to Apples game and I thought it was a kid's game. Obviously, I"ll have to check it out.
Good luck with the job decisions. I know how stressful that can be! How exciting that you get to see the Lion King! I'd love to see that. I'm also excited about AI! Woohoo! Next week!!!!!
I thought that game was a kid's game too....I'll have to check it out now! Sounds like fun!
I've been telling Hubby that God needs to send me an e-mail. Do you know every time I say that, I get an e-mail from "God's Daily Promises" that focuses on exactly what I need to know? But I don't know, I'd like to see you climb up a mountain and get some stone tablets! LOL!
Praying for ya'lls work decision!
Lots of Love!
Praying praying praying...that you'll get a stone tablet!! :) That's a good way to put it :) LOL
I'm totally with you about how AI's got a lot to live up to this year. I don't know that they'll have as much talent as last year's finalists...they just can't!! LOL I hope they prove me wrong!! :)
Well, I'd better go...I think the lime green would be awesome...I want a sage green on my bedroom walls & put up some white crown molding...trying to go a little shabby chic in the bedroom...I got an awesome quilt set from Mom (that I picked out at Lil' Dolly's), and it's all sagey greens & bright reds in a florally print...I LOVE it!! :) So, going that route...and it's so much fun to think in a different direction than just primitive (which is about everywhere else in the house)...maybe that's just something a brain twin would understand...it's not that I'm tired of my other primitive decor, but it's neat to have a "blank slate" and going a little different direction...
Anyways, talk about rambly...LOL
Love you guys!! :)
