Entry started on Tuesday November 6….

Weekend update…

Well not really much to report for this journal entry…but I feel guilty when I don’t at least check in…… Jimmie and I both enjoyed doing absolutely nothing on Saturday…this was our first Saturday without a class to go to .... I actually missed seeing some of the people we met at our class… I told this to Jimmie and he reminded me that we had everyone’s phone numbers and email addresses…but I’m not so much the call people up type…so ho hum…I guess I should think outside my box sometimes with regard to that…I mean, what’s that old saying… when you want something, it’s not going to just gravitate your way, you have to make an effort…friendship is that way I suppose… I need to work on being a better friend… (and also, obviously I don’t know the “old saying” lol but I’m sure there’s an old saying to that effect)

Umm still having fun practicing for the cantata…I really like singing Christmas music now cuz it’s getting me excited for Christmas and mindful of the fact that I need to keep up with my early start to Christmas shopping. So there is this really pretty song in the cantata that is a solo and I love it… Sunday the music leader took people back to audition for the various solos and there were at least four of us that wanted to audition for this solo…when I saw there were other people auditioning I thought about not auditioning… because, well I’m not sure why…but I just thought, eh I don’t need to sing the solo… but then I thought…umm if I want the solo I should at least try out for it… anyway, he really liked my voice but he said that all of us that tried out had different voices so he’d have to think about it and let us know… so now I’m just waiting, or not waiting for the call…really either way it’ll be fine… I’m just having a good time practicing for the cantata…it’s been too long since I’ve done something like that… it’s a really pretty cantata too…It’s actually a lot shorter than any cantata I’ve ever been in…it’s only 45 minutes from start to finish… I think I can remember standing up there for an hour and half sometimes…. Anyway, when I’m practicing it at home there are a few songs I can’t even get through without crying because the words and the mood of the songs just hit me… I love those kind of songs!

Umm what else… Amazing Race has started wahoo… I still want to do that….maybe we could make up our own? No wait, they pay for your traveling expenses on the Amazing Race probably…man that would be so cool to go see all those different countries.

Now it’s Wednesday November 7, 2007….

So umm, obviously I didn’t post the above yesterday so I’m adding on to it today… Did everyone practice their constitutional right yesterday?? I’m shocked that I didn’t take time to post about it yesterday… I must be slacking…lol….

We didn’t do our normal voting date night… because I wanted to make manicotti…. I can’t believe I haven’t made that before last week… it’s so stinking easy…. You take some manicotti noodles, some ricotta cheese, some mozzarella cheese, some oregano, some spaghetti sauce, bake for like ½ and hour and viola….YUM…. I made it last week and so we were craving it again this week so I made that…

At lunch today I went to my happy place – the flea market – and I got some more Christmas shopping done!! I got a book about tractors for Jimmie and I got my mom something…. So that means that I have 3 whole people done on my Christmas list! I did get another book that I might either keep or give to dad…it’s a how to book on building storage units. I might like ear mark what I’d like him to build me! Lol…Missy, do you want to mark what you want him to make you too?? Lol

Well, I’m going to post this before it becomes a book or I forget to post it…
