My Left Eye Itches... how's that for a craetive title?

I know… don’t freak out… 2 entries in the same month from me… egads! Lol

So I guess I shouldn’t complain because we actually did have a lovely spring here in Kentucky… however, I’m totally not ready for this extremely hot weather… it’s just brutal man… Jimmie said he moved the truck on Sunday and the temp thingy in there said is was 102 degrees… yikes…

Saturday was pretty uneventful, which was nice because it’s been a while since we’ve had one of those… we mostly bummed around the house… we did take a family trip to Walmart… but that was about it…

On Sunday, after we went to church, came home, ate lunch and took naps, we got out this water slide thing that someone gave Mayce for her birthday and we played in the water. It was pretty fun… the girls really enjoyed just running around and getting wet… then the water hose broke, which was actually good timing because it was getting close to dinner time…. Mayce was a pill all day… she just doesn’t listen very well… she’s very stubborn and tends to want to follow her own agenda rather than follow instructions (did I just describe anyone else’s kid too?? Lol)… Jimmie and I were about fed up with her because she’d been that way most of the weekend… at one point, just before bedtime, the girls were playing in their play area when all of sudden Aniya starts screaming and crying so I check to see what’s going on and Mayce has Aniya’s pants and diaper pulled down and is spanking her… I was soooo mad that I was shaking… this is when we need to be able to spank but probably it’s good that we can’t cuz I would have totally been spanking out of anger if I’d spanked her just then… oh man I was so mad…. I picked her up and put her in her timeout chair (yeah that was satisfying! Not lol) and I picked up Aniya and pulled her pants and diaper back up… what in the world possessed Mayce to do that?? Where in the world had she seen that done (or had it done to her)? Needless to say Jimmie and I both had very extensive talks with Mayce about not doing that ever again and how we don’t spank her so she can’t spank her sister… etc… Which was funny because at one point Jimmie was asking her why she got in trouble so much this weekend and she answered very bluntly because I don’t listen…. So see she knows what she is doing wrong… she’s a very smart girl… why can’ she just be good! grrr

So when I put Mayce to bed last night, I just wasn’t happy with her. I just took her upstairs and put her up in her bed and said good night and began to walk out of the room when I hear this little voice say Let’s Pray… oh man… my heart just melted… of course I wanted to pray with her… so we prayed and when I went downstairs I asked Jimmie how in the world she can be the worlds worst brat in one second and in the next second she’s asking to pray and melting your heart! Kids…. I tell ya… kids….

Jimmie’s having some health issues that he’d rather me not tell anyone about right now but if you could just keep Jimmie in your prayers I’d really appreciate it. It could be nothing or it could be something… he’s got to go to a different doctor to have some tests ran…
