short post...

I feel the need to blog…. So the termination hearing is scheduled in the kids’ case for August 17. After that the Judge will rule and then there is a 30 waiting period. Then after that I guess adoption proceedings begin… every one of the workers involved seem to think before Christmas we should be finalized with the adoption of our first 2 children. I guess I haven’t thought about it too much… it’s kind of surreal now that it is getting closer. We already feel like they are our children but making it official on paper is definitely going to be a wow emotional moment. I’m very excited thinking about it just now! I think we plan (well I totally plan on this but Jimmie hasn’t really weighed in) but I plan on changing Matthew’s middle name to Lee, which is Jimmie’s middle name. It is also a special middle name for his birth family in that he had an uncle who passed away at the very young age of 19 who also bore that middle name… so it’s in honor of those 2 things that I plan to change his middle name to Lee. Cali’s names will all stay the same… except for their last names of course! They will officially be Johnsons!
We also plan to have an adoption celebration, which is a big ole party celebrating their adoption. Their aunt and uncle had one after they adopted their first 2 littles and it was very special. Can’t wait!
