This is a really really brief drive by, mostly for my sister but I thought maybe ya’ll would find it humorous as well….
One of the most peculiar things we saw at the State Fair were salt cured hams on display…it just struck us as odd…well this morning they are having a ham breakfast at the fair and they are auctioning off the grand champion ham…they don’t how much it will bring this year but last year the grand champion ham sold for $325,000.00….that’s not a typo….over 300 grand for a ham!!! Man oh mighty that better be some tasty ham…now, it is for charity so that’s good but still…it’s ham!!
Have a hamtastic Thurdsday!!

Ummmmm....gross! I can't imagine paying $3.25! What in the world? Who has that much money FOR A HAM!?!?!??! LOL!
Lots of Love!
That's absolutely craziness! I wonder if it's like baby booties where they bronze it?
What's a salt-cured ham? Is it like the auction garter at the wedding where they collect dollar bills from different people until the amount gets so high or does one person pay that much?
I can TOTALLY understand paying that much for a cheesecake, but ham?
OH MY! And let me tell you....seeing those hams in person...$3.25 is too much! YIKERS! We couldn't get over how DISGUSTING it was and then to think that people actually eat them when they have been out attracting flies and such. GROSS ME OUT WITH A SPOON!
Thanks for sharing Sister.....but how ODD!
Hey maybe we should make a little pig farm in our backyard. That is crazy money. But I don't think I would eat anything that had been hanging in public for any amount of time, cheesecake or not!!!
And Missy...isn't the saying "Gag me with a spoon"? LOL
