We finally were given some clearer direction yesterday!! Husband met with the new company in town (CE) and they offered him more money, more perks, and more job security than his current company. Plus he will be working for and with one of his best friends in the business as project manager. The president of the company even made a “special trip” down to conduct the interview with husband in person.
So basically yesterday was interesting all around because husband’s best friend/co-worker dude umm he needs a nickname – Skinny M – had decided to also go with the new company (he formerly still worked at husband’s old company Square D – I don’t know why I feel the need to explain everything but bear with me!) Anyways, so he put in his notice at Square D, so they called husband in panic mode and offered him a job. If you are keeping count, that’s three job offers (because husband had been told that really his interview with CE was a formality, they were defiantly going to offer him a position). So two weeks ago, no job offers and current company losing business….today – three job offers and the fear of making the wrong decision….so yesterday and still our prayer is for clarity and wisdom.
Well after the interview with CE, husband really liked what the guy had to say and so when they got around to talking numbers, the guy knew that husband had two other offers so rather than agree just yet on a salary, he told husband to go and talk to Square D and they’d match an up whatever Square D offered…so my thinking is….let the bidding wars begin!! Lol….
But anyway, I just have to praise the Lord because, first of all, even though we knew husband wouldn’t have trouble finding work, when bills are a constant it’s hard to just rest in peace ya know! But praise God He really did shine through this whole situation. You know, as a Christian, when you are going through a struggle, you know in your head that when you get to the other side of the struggle, you’ll be able to look back and see God’s hand and guidance through the whole turmoil. But in the midst of whatever the situation is, it’s so hard to really grasp that for the truth it is.
Anyway, thank you all so much for your continued prayers. I think we pretty much made a decision last night for him to work at CE and he was going to start breaking the news to his current company maybe as soon as today.
I’ll journal more later but I just wanted to update ya’ll on the whole job situation! Thanks again for all the prayer support!
Saying prayers for all of you too!
On a more superficial note…the Lion King tickets came in the mail yesterday!!!! HOW EXCITING!!! If any of you ever get the chance to catch the broadway production of Lion King – GO! – it is so worth going!! I can’t wait to go again and I can’t wait for sister to see it!! lol…I suggested that I-man would really enjoy it too and then we immediately remembered the American Idol concert fiasco and nixed the idea of taking I-man….bless his heart!
Speaking of AI…oh man! lol
Ok I need to go grab some lunch…toodles

I am soooo happy for ya'll! What a blessing and a relief to know that three job offers came in and now it's just "which one". I hope the one ya'll pick is a wonderful match for you! I know it's hard deciding "if to leave", "when to leave" and "how to tell people".
I haven't seen AI yet. Hopefully we'll watch it tonight after church!
Lots of Love!
YEAH! PTL that things are looking so much better for you all! I was never afraid that there wouldn't be a job...but I can only imagine the sense of relief that Buford is feeling! Praying for clarity on the right one!
OK..seriously....AI....couldn't they have just unlocked that door or put a sign on it? Geesh! And bless their hearts....I told Hubby that I would never let our kids do that at age 16 - no matter how talented they are! You just can't handle that kind of rejection at such a young age! But then....some of those people....come on! They can't really be that surprised when someone tells them they stink! We were in tears watching it last night....so funny!!
Love ya!
That's so wonderful! The Lord really does come through! I pray that the decision will be clear to you!!!
I'd LOVE to see the Lion King! How neat that you get to go!!!
