Idol ramblings and other thoughts....

Ok first of all…I’m sending out an APB for my sister and my cousin…lol…did they forget their blog passwords or what??? I guess it’s just that time of year….

The weather here has been GORGEOUS this week! We’ve just been playing outside in the evening, walking and playing with the doggies….our boy doggie, our dogs are outside dogs – Siberian Huskies…we’d have Siberian husky carpet if they were indoor doggies…but our boy doggie, we usually have to keep tied up *gasp* I know I hate that…I feel like that makes us bad dog owners…but he likes to just run and run and go play with the neighbor’s cows…and it would make us even worse dog owners if we allowed that….so anyways…I think he may actually be growing out of his wanderlust because well first of all…let me just fill you in on this before someone suggests it like we’ve never heard of invisible fences…lol…we’ve tried that on him…even put TWO collars at full power on him…nada…I think he liked the tingly feeling around his neck…but so we gave up on that and just kept him on a chain when we aren’t around. Husband also put up a plain old fashioned electric fence, because they both just loved to slip under the fence and go play with the baby cows or jump in the pond…the girl doggie – Trinity – responded better to the invisible fence but we became suspicious that she was making day trips outside the yard so that’s when husband put up the old fashioned electric fence. Anyways…husband has been working with the boy doggie – Chaos- for some time now and that’s why we think he’s growing out of his wanderlust….because many times, and every evening this week, we’ve let him loose and he just sticks around the house…he even comes when we call him…he used to like look over his shoulder and say “see ya!”…so yay progress! They are such sweet doggies…

Dad said something about sometimes in the summer he and Isaac might make day trips on Saturdays to help husband around the house/barn and so Isaac could play with the doggies…Isaac always talks about playing with the doggies….I hope they do that! I’d love to be the “farmer” aunt and uncle that the nieces and nephew go visit in the summer…lol

AI Ramblings….

Anyways…I was thinking this morning how utterly disappointing it is to watch American Idol this year after being so spoiled last year…I actually hope they vote off like two or three at a time…because, well based on last night anyways, there are only like three maybe four people that should go through…and (this part is especially for Mandy) gotta give a shout out for “Kiki” last night dawg! That was exquisite! I didn’t give a shout out for her last week because, while she totally nailed that Whitney Houston song and the chick can sang anything she wants flawlessly…I’m tired tired tired of all things Whitney, Maria, etc….I just wish they’d pick songs that were less overplayed out…I wasn’t thrilled with the whole Diana Ross theme last night either…but I’m sure other people were though…I think that’s why Idol is so appealing because they encompass most mainstream music styles…but irregardless…we definitely got us a battle of the “divas” ( I don’t think they should label them as divas though because Lakisha, Melinda, and Jordin do not really act like “divas”)…I was really disappointed with some (actually all) of the guys last night…cuz I really do like Blake, Chris, Chris, and the dude that went first – Brandon? Sanjaya was horrid but he’ll probably get that 13 year old voting base that Chicken Little got last year…lol

Anyways…I know ya didn’t ask for my opinion but there it is…

Well…umm let’s see…not much else to journal…my bedroom got a mini-makeover this past weekend…I’ll post a picture or two later…

I’m going to Ohio this weekend…husband and I are going to a Gala next weekend given by the Historical Society. It is a “black tie” affair…so I need to go dress shopping…and shopping is funnest with my mother and my sister…plus I was also hoping sister had something I could borrow! So we’ll see…I’m all excited about going to the Gala…it’s at a local winery…oo la la….lol!!! Again…I’m a nerd!

Ok…I need to ask for some prayers cuz it’s tax season and we have no little “write offs” running around so for some strange reason we usually owe…and it’s a lean time for us for some reason (we tend to go through those spells – I think due to poor planning and unforeseen expenses) but anyways we should find out soon what we owe (hopefully nothing! ::folding my hands with my fingers crossed!::)…stinking money issues…blah….
