Creation Museum

Hi ya’ll ….. I just wanted to a drop a link for something that I think is well worth visiting and planning a trip to – The Creation Museum just opened up in the Northern KY/Cinci area….read all about it here: http://www.creationmuseum.org/

There is a lot of controversy about this. There was even protesters onsite when it opened and the news reported one scientist who stated that this museum was dangerous for our children because they might believe the whole “creation theory” and actually question their teachers about it at school. *gasp* !!! lol….And that would be bad why???

Anyway, read about it and if you visit it before I do, please share about it!! I think it’s important for us as Christians to support things like this whole heartedly!

Every summer the snow melts in Greenland. Every winter it freezes again and produces layers like tree rings. There are well over 100,000 of them. How can there be more than 6000?

We see light from stars hundreds of millions light year away. How did that light get here in 6000 years?

If God exists he would be pissed that you creationist ignore his beautiful world to study a book written by man, for man and for political reasons.

Open your eyes. The world is so much more interesting than anything found in one book.

Science is not anti-God and does not try to prove or disprove God's existence.

I hope you stop closing your eyes to the world you think your God created.

I respectfully disagree with most of your statement, Bill. I believe that this world and the worlds beyond it are much too miraculous to have all just happened by chance.

Science in and of itself is not an exact science and many scientists are constantly diproving their own theories as well as theories held for many many years.

I do believe in a Divine Designer of the universe - God. That belief is not threatened by the process in which the world is evolving. But rather I think the process in which the world evolves only proves the point that there is not some sort of randomness to the way things fall in to place but rather everything fits together beautifully and intricately as if by design. There is nothing accidental about it.

As I mentioned, I have not been to the Creation Museum so I cannot fully comment on what may be displayed there. But I do not understand, given our culture where anyone can believe anything, the very freedom of belief is defended every day in this country, EXCEPT when, Lord forbid, a Christian wants to talk about their beliefs.

Finally, I want to comment on the portion of your comment wherein you state that "Science is not anti-God and does not try to prove or disprove God's existence." This part of your statement, sir, I wholeheartedly agree with.

And I do appreciate you leaving a comment on my blog. I am not opposed to having someone disagree with me as long as it is done nicely and intelligently.

Thank you.

I am impressed. I don't see many intellectual blog debates, so I applaud you both.

I would love to take my sons to this museum. I remember being in 6th grade and my teacher taught the evolution theory. On a test, I wrote that I disagreed with that and God created this world. She gave me an F. My dad came to her and talked to her and then she passed me. It's sad that my belief was going to fail me. My belief about GOD was going to fail me in my class.

I think one of the things that we have to remember, is that we don't know the time frame that God created this stuff. We do not know what time is to God....24 hours or whatever.

I also believe that the Bible is the inspired word from God. God spoke through various individuals throughout history just as He continues through people for those who are willing to listen.

Bill, nice of you to join the chat! Hope both of you have a wonderful Friday!

Lots of Love@

Wow, busy little comment box this weekend!! LOL

I'd have to agree with Jodi & Kelly, too, but that's because we see things pretty much the same way anyways (not all the time, we are not REALLY one person sharing a brain!! LOL) Anyways, I couldn't have explained myself any better than you ladies did!! :) And, nice to meet you, Bill :)

Steve's talked about the Creation Museum, and we'd like to check it out. I think it's like, $20 a pop, though...so we might have to wait... LOL

Okay, better go...talk to ya'll later!! Love ya!!
