Reality TV ramblings.....

Umm…can we say “Jump the shark”….I’m telling you what…I know that I haven’t kept it a secret that I think that this season of AI is just sooo blah. But come on! Man oh man. I told Jimmie last night that those guys that wrote that last song should be taken out and pummeled…there is a guy on the morning radio show I listen to and he has never been an AI fan so take this with a grain of salt…lol…but he is always comparing AI to like a telethon and I must say, last night I was waiting for the $100,000.00 goal to be met. I thought Jordin definitely did better on the last song (and over all for that matter) than Blake and it was very fitting and touching, some of the words but for the most part – what a hokey song! I must say though, that Blake’s style is so different and so much more current than any contestant so far. It could go either way. Jordin is very impressive too and I really do just like her voice. Tonight is also the LOST season finale so I’ll probably tape the AI finale and watch the last five minutes to see who wins - in case anyone was wondering lol....

See that’s what else has “Jumped the Shark” – two hour season finales on reality shows when the results actually take like 2 seconds to reveal. Did anyone else channel flip through most of the “History of Dances with the Stars” last night – geez oh petes! For a little bit I thought I was watching the E! Hollywood revealed special of DWTS. Ridiculous! About the results, I was realistic though – I knew Layla wasn’t going to win – but she sure gave it a good shot. I think Apolo was my second choice so I was happy when he won it but really, it was too close to call because Joey was fun to watch too.

Oh back to AI – umm the best part of that show was the last five minutes when Chris Daughtery performed!!! Wahooo!! Also, umm…Paula tripping over her dog? Raise your hands if you think she was drunk? Lol

Ok one more review, I know you all are on the edge of your seats huh…the Bachelor – soooo glad he picked Tessa! I just think this season, more than others, either the guy and the last two girls are all three brilliant actors, or they are the most genuine people they’ve ever had on the show, and I’m really thinking the later. There was one point, after he let Bevin go, and she was crying in the limo, even though I was happy because he was picking Tessa, I just thought, this is so cruel – even though these people open their lives to be filmed – it just felt cruel to be watching someone be in so much pain, ya know? I don’t know… but what I really liked too was how they had the reunion with everyone AFTER the last rose ceremony. Umm not too crazy how I’d feel if my fiancé was on national television telling another woman she’d always have a piece of his heart but then again, I wouldn’t be in this sort of science experiment process either! Lol

Anyways, blah blah blah…

I’m really looking forward to going to see the Pirates movie this weekend!!! Wahoo!! And then in a couple of weeks it’ll be time for Lion King!!! Can’t wait!
