So I'm pretty excited today for our friends Ashley and Marty! Ya'll remember a while back when we watched the little baby for a weekend for some fellow foster parents... well Monday the little guys birth mommy made the tough choice to ask Ashley and Marty (Tae's foster mommy and daddy) if they would adopt her son! Ashley and Marty have had Tae since he was 3 days old. He is now like 9 or 10 months old... actually I'm not really for definitely sure how old he is... hmm it seems like he was born when it was warmer.... anyways, they have had him for a long long time and now it looks like they are going to get to have him for keeps! I'm so happy for them! Please keep them in your prayers and also birth mommy because I'm sure that has to be a devastating decision to make to realize that you are not the right person to raise your child at this point in his or her life. Ashley asked specifically that we pray for birth mommy that someday she might actually be a positive part of Tae's life at some point in the future....
not much else really going on around here.. life is just plugging along kind of uneventfully really... I'm looking forward to the cousin's weekend coming up... and the Women of Faith trip in April... I think I'm also hitching a ride to Florida with Missy and her family for Spring Break... lol
I'm almost through the entire Twilight Saga for the second time and thinking about reading it again… I’ve been reading it more slowly this time… just absorbing all my favorite scenes… it’s really just basically a very sweet love story with a weird twist... I’m telling you what… it’s ridiculous how much I love these books… on Facebook there are support groups for people like me, so I’ve been reading those message boards… lol… and some people are way more obsessed than I am even… it’s definitely a phenomenon… this is also my personality… when I really like something I go overboard for a little while… I was like this a little bit, really fractionally comparatively, after the first time I saw Moulin Rouge… I think I watched that movie like 5 or 6 times the first weekend I rented it….
Ok moving on… I could literally type about that for pages but I won’t… lol
American Idol… what are your thoughts? I was telling someone today here at work that it’s still sort of at that “telethon-esque” stage for me… with the bad singers and the bad song choices, it reminds me of a telethon a little bit… but then the few that are good are really good… after last week, I’ve been saying that I think Danny will win, and while he is still one of my favs, that little girl that made it through last night… dang she’s way talented and the dude with the hair is pretty brilliant too… although I have to agree with Simon, the dude with the hair that sang the Rolling Stones song… parts of it were weird and parts just flat out rocked. I think it’s going to be another year of excellent guys… one thing about the dude with the hair though… umm he probly spends more time in front of the mirror on his hair than I do and that’s just wrong… lol… his hair bugs me… but he can wail for sure… umm there was another girl that I really liked this week that didn’t get through so I’m rooting for her on the wild card… the one that sang Betty Davis Eyes… I do not know their names at this point… lol… I stopped taking notes! Haha… but anyway, her voice was very unique…
Well anyways… I better go… ya’ll have a happy blessed weekend! God Bless You

Hey!! I'm glad to see you blogging again!! :) I thought I was the only one (besides Kelley) who decided to still blog!! LOL :) Glad you're back!!
Yeah, I'm not into Idol right now, either. And, I'm not real sure I like how they're getting to the bottom 12 this year...weird...
Anyways...Still haven't joined you on the Twilight series obsession, yet. My friend Amy is obsessed, too, and said she would let me borrow her books...But it sounds like I may want my own... LOL
Love you!! Looking forward to seeing ya soon & WOF!! WOOHOO!! :) Thoughts of those upcoming weekends are what get me through some days!! LOL
Mandy...
yeah... Facebook is nice and all but frankly it's a little crowded! lol...
anyways, I'm way excited about our upcoming adventures too... I have to be careful to not wish the time away lol!
umm maybe borrow the first book, or check it out at the library to see if you are going to be as ga-ga as I am... but we're brain twins about most everything so I predict ga-ga-ness... lol... plus, umm, are you sure Amy will lend you her copies? Jimmie suggested to a lady he talks regularly to at the gas station that maybe she could borrow my books and I said... nuh uh! lol That was before I started re-reading... now that I've read them twice I probably would be a little more willing to share... I'm telling you , it's ridiculous... you may want to wait til after tax season so that Steve will be around the house a little more to help with stuff... cuz you probly won't be able to put the books down... Missy said her friend Jamie's husband banned all things Twilight at their house...lol
anyways... I hope you do jump on that band wagon cuz then maybe we'll start forming our own support group! lol
So...do you love me or hate me for introducing you to Twighlight? LOL I told you it was good! I might have to buy my own copies so I can read it again...which I NEVER do. But this series might just warrant it.....
That is exciting about your friends and their adoption....but I am sure a little discouraging for you guys too! Still praying!!!
Yep...I am excited about all the things coming up! I am planning on going shopping for the gift and the decorations this weekend. I need to know what else I can do to help with the shower that was my idea (to throw at your house..LOL) or maybe I can just give you money towards the cake and food? What do you think?
Love you...oh...and Idol...I am not that into it right now either, but that guy with the hair...WOW. Not necessarily my type but you cannot deny his talent. WOW.
Love ya!
