Short n Sweet....

I think I notice the draw of Facebook… you have a limited space to type what’s on your mind in the status update box and so it takes less thought and effort than journaling… but have you noticed a few people that you are friends with on Facebook seem to lead these super active super exciting lives by the status updates they leave… every day they’ve done a new fun exciting activity… is anyone’s lives really that exciting??!! Lol maybe I’m the only one that has a Friend like that or I notice it more… I dunno…

Anyway, so Tuesday morning I was getting ready for work and listening to the pre-Inauguration news coverage and someone said this will be one of those days that you will remember where you were when… and I thought oh lovely… I had my annual physical complete with ya know… that one thing they do… and I thought great… that’s what I’m going to remember when I think of this day… lol

But seriously… did ya’ll watch the inauguration? I cried… I mean it was truly a wonderful awesome moment in history that I wasn’t sure this time last year that our country was ready for…

Two days later, I’m scared about some of the decisions he’s already made… like putting off the trials of the people at Gitmo and signing the bill closing Gitmo… without nary a plan of where to put those people… umm those war criminals and would be terrorsits… yeah… those people… but ya know what… whatever happens… God is in control. I’m also optimistic about some of the things he’s doing… such as banning lobbyists from the Capital… that should have been done a long time ago!

Well our washer is broke… it’s been broke since umm last Saturday… which I really thought was going to be a disaster because I thought I’d be scrambling for things to wear by the end of the week but ya know what I found out… I have a lot of clothes! Lol I just get stuck in this rut were I wear the same five outfits over and over and so I think I have no clothes but if I have to go further in my clothes I actually find there is stuff to wear in there! What a concept. Anyway the part came in today and so hopefully Jimmie will be able to fix it… Mount Washmore (as Mandy so cleverly coined it) is getting very very tall at our house….

Well, it’s official… I’m old… one of my friends from high school became a grandmother this week… granted she married her high school sweetheart and they started having kids almost right after high school and her oldest son has followed suit… so she’s a grandmother at 37 years old! Which if ya think about it… that’s great for them really cuz she’s young enough to enjoy her grandkids and her kids are almost all grown and out of the house and so she and her hubby have their family but are still young enough to enjoy each other…

Well… I better try and get some work done… ya’ll have a blessed weekend!

Still wish I could figure out how to remove the snowman icon… grrr
